The only Winchesters that do well with a scope are the Angle eject models.

I have saved the most unique Skinner offering for last. Also, there are two peep sight options for the Mossberg Model 464. You can get a nice receiver sight for it that will improve its accuracy potential greatly! Again, the sights are very compact and sleek-looking on these guns. any input you have to give would be greatly appreciated! Does anybody know whether or not Brownells. However, adjusting all the way down, point of impact is still 8-inches high at 100 yds. Although these guns have got a tang mounted safety, Marble was working on a tang sight for 'em. I replaced rear buckhorn sight with Williams 5D 94/36 aperature. 357M (and boy do I enjoy shooting it), but I'd like to replace the buckhorn sight for something more precise. (looking to load up some of those leverevolution bullets.)ĭoes anyone have any opinions or experience with peep sights or side mounted scopes on these guns? i was considering putting on a fixed 4x or 2-7x scope, but am intrigued by what Ive read on peep sights as well. I have this New Winchester 94AE Trapper in. There is also a Lyman 66 receiver peep sight for the Winchester Model 94.

I'd like to have it be quick to target acquisition for those 20 yard or so shots, but also able to stretch a little farther in the event of a shot pushing closer to 150 yards. Aperture sights, once a staple, still have a place in the modern shooting. The gun has been a joy to shoot and I'd like to carry it for deer hunting but I'm concerned about the limitations of the stock iron sights. I recently purchased a post-64 top eject Winchester model 94 30-30.
